First Humble whisky tasting

Last weekend i had the pleasure to host my first tasting as Humble whisky.

We had a lovely 5 course meal paired with some great independant bottlers including Lost distilleries, Best dram, Deerhunter and many more!

The themed tasting had the following whisky’s:

* A nice Hibiki harmony to set it all off there will also be some beginners so starting gently paired with Swiss alp cheese and fig bread.

Then the Independent bottlings:

– A nice deerstalker highlands 43% paired with pumpkin curry soup with cheesesticks and dip

– A Lost Distillery Stratheden 46% paired with black rye bread disks with kangaroo dip and bacon roses

Main course Home made Sheppard’s Pie

– Best Dram Glenallachie 8 years first fill oloroso sherry butt 62,5% paired with some nice dark chocolate

– We had a weak moment after the best dram and included a Lost distillery Jericho 46% again with dark chocolate wich was divine.

– A Scott’s Selection Old Fettercain 1989 55.9% paired with Italian bread sticks wrapped in Serrano ham or schwarzwälder schinken

– ??? secret ??? last bot not least a freshly released bottle of only 324 bottles a whisky handpicked by Hans and Becky Offringa in cooperation with slijterij Bartels.
